ගොඩනැගිල්ල හිමිකරුට එරෙහිව අධිකරණයට කරුණු ඉදිරිපත් කරනවා
මහනුවර බූවැලිකඩ සංඝමිත්තා මාවතේනිවසක් කඩා කඩාවැටීමේ සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් එම නිවසේ හිමිකරු ට එරෙහිව අධිකරණයට (21) කරුණු වාර්තා කරන බව මහනුවර කොට්ඨාශ භාර ජේෂ්ඨ පොලිස් අධිකාරි සුදත් මාසිංහ මහතා ගෙන් කල විමසීමකදී පැවසීය .
එම ගොඩනැඟිල්ල ගොඩනැගිල්ල ඉදිකිරීම සඳහා මහනුවර මහ නගර සභාවේ අනුමැතිය, භූ විද්යා පර්යේෂණ හා පතල් කැනීම් කාර්යාංශයේ අනුමැතිය ඇතුළු අනිකුත් ආයතන වල අවසරය ලැබී ඇත්දැයි විමර්ශන ආරම්භ කරන බවත් එවැනි අනුමැතියක් නොමැතිව මෙම ගොඩනැගිල්ල ඉදි කර ඇත්නම් අනිවාර්යෙන්ම එම පුද්ගලයාට එරෙහිව අපරාධ නීතිය යටතේ අධිකරණ ක්රියාමාර්ග ගන්නා බවත් පැවසීය .

Since this build owner is a prominent person the investigation will go nowhere. I feel for the young family that lost everything. Most likely the flimsy foundation with no proper bracing failed due to soil saturation? I wonder what kind of person would allow that kind of building on a slope. Then I see a professor talking seismic activity. When it comes to seismic activity most most tall buildings in Sri Lanka are death traps. In California we live we hear real earthquakes coming towards our home, like a train approaching a station and the pass underneath without any damage to the building.
