ජනපතිගේ මරණ දඬුවම ගැන තීරණයට බ්රැන්සන්ගේ විරෝධය
මත්ද්රව්ය ජාවාරම්කරුවන්ට මරණ දඬුවම ක්රියාත්මක කිරීමට ජනපති මෛත්රීපාල සිරිසේන මහතා ගෙන ඇති තීරණය ප්රකට ව්යාපාරික රිචඩ් බ්රැන්සන් මහතා සිය විරෝධය දක්වා තිබේ.
ඔහු පවසන්නේ මරණ දඬුවම යනු විසඳුමක් නොවන බවයි. එසේම ශ්රී ලංකා ජනතාවට මීට වඩා හොඳ දේවල් ලැබිය යුතු බවත් ඔහු ප්රකාශ කරයි.
Sri Lankan President @MaithripalaS wants to bring back the death penalty in Sri Lanka. I hope he takes a cue from the Maldives president and decides otherwise. Executions can be devastating and are never the solution. The wonderful people of Sri Lanka deserve better than this.
