කොල්ලුපිටියේ ප්‍රහාරයට රජයේ කනගාටුව
කොල්ලුපිටිය ඇමෙරිකානු තානාපති කාර්යාලය ඉදිරිපිට විරෝධාතාවක් පැවැත්වූ පෙරටුගාමී සමාජවාදී පක්ෂයේ ආධාරකරුවන්ට පහරදීම පිළිබඳව රජය වශයෙන් කනගාටුව ප්‍රකාශ කරන බව සම කැබිනට් ප්‍රකාශක අමාත්‍ය බන්දුල ගුණවර්ධන මහතා පැවැසීය.
කැබිනට් තීරණ දැනුම් දීමේ මාධ්‍ය හමුවට එක්වෙමින් ඔහු මේ බව පැවැසීය. මෙම පහරදීම කිසිසේත්ම රජයේ නියෝගයක් නොවන බවත් ක්‍රියාවකට ප්‍රතික්‍රියාවක් දැක්වීමක් බවත් ඔහු ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.
මෙවැනි තත්ත්වයක් නැවත ඇති නොවීමට කටයුතු කිරීම පිළිබඳව ජනපති ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතාගේ අවධානය යොමුව ඇති බවත් ඔහු පැවැසීය.
මින් ඉදිරියට කොවිඩ් වසංගත සමයේදී මෙවැනි විරෝධතා පවත්වන පිරිස් නිරෝධානයට යොමුකරන බවත් ඔහු පැවැසීය.
එසේම විරෝධතාකරුවන් සමග කටයුතු කළ පොලිස් නිලධාරීන් නිරෝධානයට යොමුකරන බවත් ඔහු පැවැසීය.
මේ අනුව කොල්ලුපිටිය පොලිස් ස්ථානයේ ස්ථානාධිපතිවරයා ඇතුළු පොලිස් නිලධාරීන් 30ක් නිරෝධානයට යොමුකිරීමට නියමිතය.

What do you mean by "the government?" Kamal Gunaratne has taken the responsibility of the arrests and even justified the action of the Police. That means, this country is governed by two governments. One is a legitimate government and the other is a military government. What a change! Kamal Gunaratne has found faults with the protesters for trying to teach America how to behave!!! Ha ha ha, He has conveniently forgotten that Sri Lankans have been protesting in front of the US and other Embassies for decades to teach them not to adhere to double standards. He now keeps America before his country and his fellow countrymen. His master is an American. That may be the reason for forgetting how this country fought against America for unfairly labelling our war heroes as war criminals.

I don't think the government care about bashing the protesters because they are from the JVP and the opposition parties.
