I can imagine the reason for increasing the taxable income to Rs. 200 000. However cannot understand why the maximum tax rate will come down to 24%. In countries where health and social benefits are at a high level the highest tax rate is above 40%. No one protests on that because businesses and high income earners know the reason. It looks similar to what Gota did after the elections. People don't forget the calamity resulted by such foolish decisions. ( Hope the newspaper will publish my observations. ).
