ජනපති මෛත්‍රීපාල සිරිසේන මහතා විසින් ඊයේ කැඳවූ සාර්ව පාක්ෂික සමුළුවෙන අනතුරුව සිදූවූ දෙයක් හිටපු අමාත්‍ය මනෝ ගනේෂන් මහතා සිය ට්විටර් ගිණුමට හරහා ප්‍රකාශයට පත්කර තිබේ.
එහිදී ඔහු පවසා ඇත්තේ පාර්ලිමේන්තුව තුළ අනවශ්‍ය දෙයක් සිදුවුවහොත් ඒ සඳහා වගකිව යුත්තා වශයෙන් ඉතිහාසයේදී ජනපති මෛත්‍රීපාල සිරිසේන මහතානේ නම සඳහන් වනු ඇති බවයි.
ඒයට පිළිතුරු දෙමින් ජනපතිවරයා සඳහන් කර ඇත්තේ “ඔව් මම දන්නවා. කරුණාකර මැදිහත්වෙන්න” යනුවෙනි.
මෙම සාකච්ඡාවට සමස්ත ලංකා මහජන කොංග්‍රසයේ නායක රිෂාඩ් බද්යුදීන් මහතාද ඒක්ව ඇත. ජනපතිවරයාගේ ප්‍රකාශයට පිළිතුරු දෙමින් ඔවුන් පවසා ඇත්තේ “ ජනපතිතුමනි ඔබයි ආරම්භ කළේ. දැන් වැඩිම වගකීම ඔබගේ. මෙය අවසන් කිරීමට අපට සහාය දිය හැකිකේ අපි හිටපු තැන සිටයි. අපේ මාතෘභූමියේ නාමයෙන්.” යනුවෙනි.
