එක්සත් ජාතික පෙරමුණ විසින් නිර්මාණය කිරීමට යන අලුත් පෙරමුණේ නාමය 'ප්රජාතන්ත්රවාදී ජාතික පෙරමුණ' ලෙස වෙනස් කිරීමට එක්සත් ජාතික පෙරමුණේ පක්ෂ තීරණය කර තිබේ. මුලින්ම එය ජාතික ප්රජාතන්ත්රවාදී පෙරමුණ ලෙස නම් කිරීමට තීරණය කර තිබුණි.
එක්සත් ජාතික පෙරමුණ විසින් පසුගියදා ගෝල් ෆේස් පිටියේ පැවැති රැළිය ඇමතූ අග්රාමාත්ය රනිල් වික්රමසිංහ මහතා මෙම නව සන්ධානය බිහි කරන බව සඳහන් කළේය.
